Tap dancer, actor, choreographer and director, Jason Samuels Smith, is the godfather of Brazil International Tap Festival. He is well-known worldwide as a Tap Dance defender and representative.

He collects prizes as the Dance Magazine Award, the Emmy and the American Choreography Award by "Outstanding Choreography" for the opening number of Jerry Lewis / MDA Telethon, in a tribute to Gregory Hines. He was also a special guest on Fox's hit series: 'So You Think You Can Dance' as a Grammy choreographer. He also co-starred the "Touch of Warmth" by the director Dean Hargrove, an award-winning movie with a short and dynamic tour in movie worldwide festivals and available on DVD.
