Producer and artistic director of Brasil International Tap Festival, Chris Matallo is an actress, singer, choreographer, musician and tap dancer. Her work is unique for her fusion of languages while she plays the piano and tenor sax, sing and tap. Chris trains artists and coordinates a work as a Tap Dance Coach applied to other arts such as singing and acting, so has beenprojecting important names of the Brazilian and world scene.
She has participated in the cast of New York, New York - the musical, and also supervised the Tap Dance scenes, directed by José Possi Neto. In July 2006, after her tour in the United States, Chris was considered “the Carmen Miranda of the Tap Dance” by The New York Times.
Nowadays, she develops the project “B.r.U.s” along the rhythmist Jim Hamilton and they have already toured Brazil, the United States and Europe.
